Good evening, Swim Team Families!

Practice starts on Tuesday, June 1!  The weather is a little iffy for several of the practices, so please check your email before heading to the pool.  We will be keeping an eye on the weather, the air temperature, and the water temperature.  I will send out an email 30 minutes before practice if we have to cancel. 

Practice times:

                For 9 and older:  T/TH/F mornings 9-9:50 and M/W evenings from 6:30-7:20

                For 8 and under:  T/TH/F mornings from 10-10:50 and M/W evenings from 5:30-6:20

What to bring to practice:  Swimsuit (wear if possible), water, towel, sunscreen, goggles and swim cap (if wanted/needed).  This week, it might also be a good idea to have a sweatshirt or warm clothes to change into when finished with practice.

What to expect at practice this week:  Please be patient with us as we get started this week. We have a lot of new, younger swimmers this season.  We will be having our coaches checking what their current ability is so they can be grouped accordingly. 

Parent meeting Wednesday, June 2:  We will have our parent meeting during your child’s practice on Wednesday.  We will have this meeting rain or shine!  We have a lot of new families and we will be going over what to expect this season, especially at meets.  You will not want to miss it!  We will meet in the clubhouse after practice starts.

Documents:  In the Documents tab on the website, you will find 4 very important documents.  Please read all 4 very carefully!  On Tuesday, two of the documents must be brought to practice in order for your child to swim:  the signature form for Lindsay’s Law and Sudden Cardiac Arrest as well as the COVID-19 Liability Waiver.  The other 2 documents need to be read but not returned. These are the four documents:

  1. COVID-19 Liability Waiver (1 per family/signed and retuned)
  2. COVID-19 Prevention Protocol.  Please read as this will explain how practices will work!
  3. Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) and Lindsay’s Law signature form.  Please watch the video (listed in the Links tab on the website) and then sign the form.  All family members may be on 1 form.  Even if you have signed this form for other sports, you must still sign it for swim team.
  4. Concussion Information sheet.  Please review.
