Teaching Tuesday: Summer Snacks

The summer is a great time to get creative with fun and healthy snacks to fuel your practices each day! Since most swimmers typically have a bit more time during the day without school, there is more time to plan out ways to fuel for workouts. So, we've compiled a list of some ideas for parents and swimmers to spice up your summertime snacking. 

  • Homemade granola bars
  • Fruit smoothies
  • Chocolate protein shakes
  • Peanut butter and honey sandwiches
  • Pretzels and hummus
  • Homemade trail mix
  • Veggies and hummus
  • Yogurt with crunchy mix-ins

*While this is not an exhaustive list, and we are not dieticians, we hope that this gives our Georgia LSC members some ideas for fueling their swimmers this summer season*
