2021-2022 SCY Regular Season Competition Bid Process NOW OPEN
This e-mail was originally sent to all head coaches and club presidents via Constant Contact. If you are a head coach or club president and did not receive it via that channel, please contact the Michigan Swimming Office.

Club Presidents and Head Coaches,

I am excited to share that the 2021-2022 Short Course Yards Regular Season On-the-Published-Schedule Competition Bid Process is NOW OPEN.

Bids due by Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 11:45pm ET

Clubs should use the above form to submit bids for regular season, on-the-published-schedule competitions (September 1, 2021 - February 20, 2022). Provided USA Swimming removes its COVID-19 sanctioning requirements at the end of the Summer, the Michigan Swimming COVID-19 Sanctioning / Approval policy will be repealed at the start of the upcoming season, and the Michigan Swimming, Inc. Rules & Procedures will again govern competitions in full.

A championship competition bid process will take place at a later date. We are waiting for USA Swimming, the Central Zone, and MHSAA to finalize and publish their championship schedules before setting our championship formats and schedule. This is to ensure athletes have the opportunity to compete in the best mix of championship events across multiple organizations. We appreciate your patience and understanding on this front.

Finally, we are still in need of a Meet Scheduling Coordinator and Meet Scheduling Committee Members. If you are willing to serve in one of these roles, please reach out to me directly. The overall time commitment is minimal, and it is a great way to get involved with Michigan Swimming!

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Kind regards,

Joe Gazzarato
Chairman of the Board of Directors
Michigan Swimming, Inc.
