End of the Year Racing Details
Since the summer championship season is around the corner, I would like to update you on some items relating to the Last Chance Championship and State meets. First, the deadline for entries for all three meets will be June 30 th. The only event entries after that date will be for NEW qualifiers only.

We need entries for these meets early to ensure that each location is able to run the plan sessions at their location. This allows time to make any necessary changes to a specific location if needed.

When first proposed, we were looking at the last chance meet to be three sessions each day and only allowing athletes that were not going to State to swim at the last chance meet. We have since changed that. Athletes may sign up to swim at both last chance and the state meet. Coaches should use their discretion as to whether athletes can repeat events both weekends.

Last Chance Championships
Athletes need to have verifiable times below the champ time. No champ times are allowed.

There will be awards for 1st-8th in each division Gold, Silver, Bronze and below. We will have high point winners for each age group and gender as well and team scores will be posted.

Zoning and Order of Events have been posted on the MNSI website.

State Championships
For the 14 & Under Age Group state meet, athletes can sign up if they have one champ time and swim up to 5 bonus events at the Gold level or better. If they don’t sign up for the state meet by June 30th, only new events can be added and no bonus events. There is one meet site only which is in Rochester. This is different from the original posting as well. The entire meet is timed finals.

For the Senior state meet, athletes can sign up in they have one 15-16 champ time and swim up to 5 bonus events at the Gold level or better regardless of age. If they don’t sign up for the state meet by June 30th, only new events can be added and no bonus events. This meet is being held at the University of Minnesota and will be set up prelims/finals.

Order of events and full meet information will be coming out soon for these meets.
