Samantha Tucker grew up in Austin, Texas and comes from a decorated swim career. Beginning at age 4, she competed for Austin Country Club, then joined her first club team at age 8, and swam for westlake high school, earning a full ride to UT Austin, where she was a 7 time All American, setting multiple School records. Among other accolades, she won 11 gold medals over her high school Career, while earning the title of US Open champion in the 200meter Freestyle at age 17. She competed in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic trials, placing in the top 25 of the country. She earned spots on team usa’s travel team for multiple various competitions across the world during her teenage years. Her passion and love of sport, lead her to earn a bachelors degree in kinesiology, a minor in psychology, and further, a masters in health education and health behavior. She began helping coach young children at the Texas swim clinics during college, coached for her club team Longhorn Aquatics for numerous years, and coaches currently a group of adult triathletes at Austin T3, and has 10+ years of various expertise in coaching all ages, from 2-75 years old. She loves to spend time with her family in Austin, get together with friends and enjoy the beautiful sunshine on a patio with great food and drinks, and she will be getting married this July!
