Overall, a tune up for the next couple of weeks.  Please focus before coming to the race.  In workouts, we work on Stroke counts, negative splitting, fast turns, etc.  Some of the concern is that many swimmers are just going in to the race with NO PLAN.

Make sure you have goals set - what SC you want if doing pace; splits needed - get to your speed in warm up; how to have fast walls!  Racing - getting to the wall first.  Warm up your legs and when starting out on distance, be under control and conserve your energy.  Try to hold back on the 1st 100 of a distance race and control SC and pace so that you do not have a lactic acid build up.  When finishing a race, focus on keeping the stroke, long and strong and not spinning out with the arms trying to reach the end.

Looking forward to the next few meets.

Thank you to ALL parents who helped out and officiated at the meet and to Edmund Cheung for being our referee.
