We're already halfway through the PWSL regular season, with three meets down and three to go before divisionals.
In an eventful week that saw at least 30 new team records - 10 at Southbridge alone - we saw three league records fall this week, all at the same pool: Piedmont's Camille Spink set a new standard of 25.67 in Girls 15-18 Freestyle, then came back later in the morning and notched another league mark of 27.90 in Butterfly. In between, her Tsunami teammate Alyssa Sagle achieved a new league record of 31.82 in 11-12 girls backstroke, a record previously held by ... Camille Spink! Behind those big swims, Piedmont remains the league's only undefeated team.
Computer reps, please make sure you download the new league records file for week 4.
It was also a weekend for upsets, as Westridge swam up a division to beat Ridgewood by 292 points, breaking a long drought against their neighbors. Montclair also scored an upset vs. Lake Ridge by 64 points, the closest meet of the week.
After the bye, week 4 will feature some intra-divisional matchups, with Sudley vs. Bridlewaves in the Blue division and Lake Manassas vs. Urbanna in the Purple division. Enjoy your Independence Day and a rare Saturday to sleep in!
While the league results site is not properly displaying the top times, as of right now here is a PDF of all the times in the county for week 3.
This week's cyber meet, league record file, and all the mid season reports are available on the "Computer Support" tab on this site. Reps can also find all the mid-season reports on the same page, including the excel version of top times, a PDF version of the top 25 swims for the season in every event - including a special section for 19 year old events- and a PWSL league-wide team manager database. As usual. interactive results are available at www.pwswim.org
