Apologies for the lateness of this week's news; one team's virtual meet was rained out and had to be completed after the weekend.
This week's blue division showdown came down to the wire, with Sudley beating the Bridlewaves by 59 points in the closest meet of the week. Two other meets were decided by less than 200 points, including the only upset of the week, Meadowbrook swimming up two divisions to take down Ridgewood by 173 points.
Piedmont remains the league's only undefeated team, and their meet once again saw league records fall, as Piedmont's Camile Spink set a new league record of 28.66 in girls 15-18 backstroke; and Ashland's 15-18 boys freestyle relay team of Matt VanDeusen, Michael Jiang, Ben Stankovich, and Landon Gentry set a league record of 1:37.13.
Despite the league being smaller, we're still seeing plenty of fast swims, as 17 of the league's 22 teams saw 53 team records broken this week. Computer reps, ensure you download a new league records file from the site this week, and make sure you generate a new team records file before you submit entries tonight.
Please read the email that was sent to league and computer reps this week covering preparations for divisionals. It was noted to me that a team does not have to send both the league rep and the computer rep to the cyber meet on July 31 at 3pm at Sudley, as long as every team has a representative (but more hands do make ribbon labeling and distribution run faster!)
Please see the updated summary sheet for an overview of all the meets. The Top 25 individual times and Top 15 Relays of the week are also available. This week's cyber meet, league record file and the PDF version of the summary report.are available to the computer reps on this site; while interactive results are available at www.pwswim.org
