Important info for our last week

Can you believe that this season is wrapping up this week?!  What a better way to celebrate than a SPIRIT WEEK!

Trying something new this year with a couple of mini meets on Monday and Tuesday mornings during practice times.  We’ve split the teams into two groups.  Each age group will have 4 events and will be awarding prizes for each heat winner. If time, we’ll have other special fun events.  We’ll need some parent volunteers and older swimmers to help with timing and flagging.

Monday--Mini Meet for age groups 9-10, 11-12 & 15-18

Tuesday--Mini Meet for age groups 6 and under, 7-8 & 13-14

Wednesday—Silly Sock Day and Dice Games

Thursday--Swim-A-Thon

Friday--Picture Day!!!  Megan and Kylie Harris have volunteered to take our big team picture followed by individual and/or family pictures. We will need some strong parents early at 6:45 am to move picnic tables to the far side (southwest) side of the pool to use as risers for the group picture and then move them back.  Please wear a team suit if you have it, no shirts only suits for the team picture.  We will take a team picture first followed by individuals.  We WILL have practice after pictures.

More Details on SwimAThon: The Wentzville Sea Dragons Swim-a-thon has been an annual tradition for many years, and we encourage ALL swimmers to participate during practice!  Each lane will have endurance goals to meet.  Swim-A-Thon will include a few fun twists like music, contests and crazy swim during a portion of the event!

As an independent organization, we have to fund raise to pay for team equipment like lap lanes, stopwatches, audio equipment and much more!  Collecting pledges is not necessary to participate in the Swim-A-Thon.  Click here for form:  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jd-fpDOwjBwV24w2a3XxqNf0-yzuvBzM/view?usp=sharing

We NEED Parent Volunteers at each lane to help with the event by tallying laps as the kids swim!   Please email me or text to let me know if you can help count laps.  636-262-6012 or [email protected]

Meet Saturday:   6:30am warmups and 7am start on July 20th.  We again need all hands on deck.  There are still open worker spots and concession donations!  PLEASE FILL THIS POSITIONS!

Pool Setup Friday: Pool setup will be Friday night.  Time TBD pending swim lesson makeups.

August 1 st Family Swim Sunday 6:30 to 8:30pm

Sunday evening will be even more informal than previous years but just as fun.   Just like this year's (quick) season,  a quick awards recognition ceremony followed by a family swim.   A couple of fun parent vs kids relays (or challenge another family) will be available to sign up that evening.
