Senior State Championships New Team Records and Nationals Bound!
Congratulations to our swimmers that competed this weekend at the Senior State Championship meet at University of Georgia.

Seth Roach led the team with 100% Best times, a new Team Record in the 200 Fly and achieved national qualifying standards in 3 events.  We wish Seth all the very best as he will travel to Greensboro, NC for the 2021 Speedo Summer Championship Aug 3-7th.  We had a little extra smile as Seth was slated to go to Fargo for the Futures meet, but Nationals is so much better!  Sorry Fargo, maybe another time...

Eva Watson had a great meet with 100% best times.  She came back to race in the finals in the 200 Free, 100 Free and 50 Fly!   Eva was a great leader this week and came ready for each race with positive words and attitudes for herself and her teammates!

Jimmy Callaghan also achieved 100 % Best times as he competed in the 50, 100 and 200 Breaststroke.  He was a true fighter for that 100 Breast and competed in two time trials!

Phoebe Lichty had 3 of 4 Best times and swam an incredible 200 Breaststroke - Her stroke is simply beautiful to watch but the smile she had walking back to us after her race was even better!  Congratulations Phoebe!

Graduating Senior, Morgan Stroud swam her last meet with the team and swam best times in the 100 backstroke.  It was fun to see Morgan compete in the breastroke and freestyle as well.  Such a versatile swimmer - we are sad to see you go - but wish you all the best at Alabama!

Jade Takvorian competed in the 50, 100 and 200 Breaststroke and helped the women's 200 Medley and Free relay achieve best times!!  It was fun to watch Jade swim freestyle also!

Isabelle DiPietre and Carter Wilt also joined the State team and competed on Friday in the 200 Free and 50 back (Isabelle) and Carter swam the 50 Back and 100 Fly.  This was back to back weekends for Carter as he was eligible to compete in the Age Group State meet as well as the Senior State meet!  I think the field on the blocks was a bit taller at this meet!

Last, but not least, we had the pleasure of watching Arion Solomon (returning SCAT swimmer, now competing in collegiate swimming for Howard University) race with a green SCAT cap on again (at least for one race:)  Arion has been past state champion in the 50 and 100 free and fly for years (since he was 11) and competed once again in those 3 races..  Although he did not hit best times this meet, we enjoyed his team camaraderie, big smile and great attitude this summer.  We appreciate and enjoyed that he chose to come back and compete with us!

Congratulations to all our athletes for an incredible crazy year of practices, team changes, and meets with no spectators and parents!  It's impressive how many hurdles and challenges were met with tenacity and perserverance.  Your results speak volumes to this!

JOB WELL DONE!
