Middlesex Swimming would like to express our sincere congratulations to London, Ontario’s own Maggie MacNeil for her phenomenal performances in the pool this past week at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Games as apart of Canada’s National Swim Team!!!
Maggie put a week of absolutely excellent racing together in the water at Tokyo’s Olympic Swimming Pool coming away with the Gold Medal in the Women’s 100m Butterfly, a Silver Medal as a part of the Canadian Women’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay, and finally a Bronze Medal to finish off the competition as a part of the Canadian Women’s 4x100m Medley Relay.
Maggie has represented her country, community, swim & varsity teams, and self with such composure. She has definitely made us all very proud and has inspired many others to reach their fullest potential both in and out of the water. Bravo Maggie and again congratulations on everything you have accomplished!!!
It takes a village to help raise someone to these remarkable heights as well as mold them into such an exceptional human being. Therefore, finally Middlesex Swimming would like to pass along our congratulations and recognition to her family (Ed, Susan, & Clara), the London Aquatic Club, University of Michigan, and all of those supporters who have helped Maggie along the way to accomplish what she has to this point in her career both in and out of the pool.
