Facility News:

Montgomery College Germantown continues to delay our start date. At the time of this WA we have not been given a green light for today's practice. However, should that change an email will be sent out. We apologize for the inconvenience this delay is causing and we are actively working to get it resolved.

Watching Practices (Indoors)

Both Montgomery College Germantown & Quince Orchard Swim & Tennis Club will be limiting the number of non-swimming patrons from entering the facilities. Swimmers aged 7 and Up will be expected to enter the swim facilities unaccompanied however families are encouraged to walk young swimmers to the pool entrance(s). Swimmers aged 6 and below will be allowed one parent to accompany them inside the facility but will be asked to leave once the practice begins.

Both Facilities do reserve the right to only allowing vaccinated individuals (non-swimmers) inside. No steps have been taken towards this but we wanted to let families know in advance.

Quince Orchard’s opening day is scheduled for September 25th.

Locker Room Use this Season:

There will be limited locker room use at all facilities this season. Swimmers should arrive at the pool in their suits ready to enter the water. Swimmers will be allowed to use restroom facilities as needed and locker rooms following practice but it is recommended that swimmers leave the facility as quickly as possible. There will be NO showers available at any facility

Montgomery College Campuses will again institute a buddy system for restrooms. Swimmers will not be allowed to enter the locker rooms by themselves once practices have started. Swimmers will also be required to wear their masks whenever they are not in the pool.

Practice Procedures:

Accessing MC-Germantown Pool: The pool is located in the PE building of the Montgomery College Campus. Entry to the pool can be accessed through the locker rooms only.

Accessing Quince Orchard Pool: The entry and exit procedure at Quince Orchard will be exactly as it was last year.  The upper gate (double gate in the parking lot) will be the "Pool Entry" and the gate closest to the club door will be the Exit Gate.

TIBU Mask Protocol: Due to the changing landscape of the new delta variant we have re-implemented our own Mask protocols for all indoor practices. Masks are also recommended to all unvaccinated athletes at outdoor practices as well.
