Georgia Swimming All Star Towels
2020-2021 SCY Season / 2021 LCM Season

**There was an email that was sent out in error to every swimmer in the LSC. We are Georgia Swimming are sorry for any and all confusion that this has created. Georgia All Stars are swimmers thaty have achieved the time standard of "AAA" or greater for a swim that took place durning the set period. We are currently work on last years towels at this moment. The time period is from August 2020 to September 2021. The time standards can be found on the Georgia Swimming website or by clicking here. We are truly sorry for any disruption that the email may have created. I have heard that there are several conversations that have started to help educate swimmers and parents about the All Star towels and we will be working on doing something in the near future to help.**

If your swimmer has achived the status of All-Star, you can click here to fill out a form to ensure they receive their towel in May 2022.

Each towel is embroidered with the athletes name and their accomplishment (one of the following) for the 2020 - 2021 SCY Season and 2021 LCM season:

  • AAA
  • AAAA
  • Scholastic All-American
  • Junior Nationals
  • Senior Nationals
  • Futures
  • Olympic Trials
  • Para Trials
  • Para Pan Pacs
  • Para Worlds, etc.
  • If your swimmer is a disability swimmer and they attended Zone, they are eligible receive an All-Star towel

Those swimmers who only hit the "AAA" time standard will only have their name on the towel. Those who hit "AAAA" or higher will have the highest level of standard on their towel.

Coaches, Officials, Swimmers, and Parents

We need your input on how the LSC is doing. Every quarter, we send out a survey to see what we can do better within the LSC (Local Swim Committee) to help your swimmers be the best that they can be. Please take a few minutes and fill out the survey. Click here
The USA Swimming learning management system, LEARN, is experiencing technical difficulties preventing our members from renewing their APT prior to their expiration dates. Given the current issues and the new membership year commencing on September 1, USA Swimming will be providing an extension of this requirement for you until September 30, 2021. We fully expect the system to be operational by that time and will send you a follow-up communication when you are able to go in and renew your APT. Your membership with USA Swimming will not be affected during this interim period.

Coaches and Club Admins

If you have not started to use the Member Data Validation process, please do so now. This will help keep information current and correct. Sometimes, information does get scrambled or incorrect addresses never updated.

The Member Data Validation Service (MDVS) for clubs provides for integrating club databases hosted by third-party swim team management software vendors with the USA Swimming member database called SWIMS.  The goal of the service is to improve the quality of data for both the club and USA Swimming.

Depending on the vendor implementation, it provides club registrars with the ability to compare the information in their member database with the information in SWIMS to ensure they are in sync with each other.

If you are still struggling on how to use the MDVS, please contact Lora Thompson at [email protected]

New Swim Parents and What to Expect

Do you have a child that just got signed up for swim lessons or is starting club swimming for the first time? This week's teaching is dedicated to all those newer swim parents!

Swimming is a very competitive and tough sport that requires help and support from so many resources, but the parent role is often the one that is crucial to making everything happen. As a parent, you are the one signing your kids up for lessons, practices, and swim meets, along with driving them, providing meals, and moral support.

We wanted to make sure that we welcome our new parents and give you all a few helpful resources as you begin this journey with your child or children.
