~Parents may observe practice from the spectator area.  No parents are allowed on deck, except for meetings or questions for the coaches.
~Please stay home if you are having symptoms related to the flu or Covid-19.  Please communicate with us if you have positive tests in your household. We are obliged to communicate close contacts when they occur.

Dry Land Training Update
~Coho athletes must have the following equipment to safely participate in dry land training: exercise mat, athletic shoes and socks, shorts, t-shirt, personal med ball.  Athletes will not be allowed to participate without this basic equipment.
~Gold dry land training: 5:30-6:00 p.m., Monday and Wednesday, on pool deck with Coach Sam.  Dry land training is encouraged for all Gold swimmers to improve strength, coordination, and fitness.
~SR/Platinum dryland: 6:15-7:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.  Dry land training is encouraged for all SR/Platinum swimmers on a regular basis to improve strength, coordination, and fitness.
~All groups will regularly be instructed on dry land exercises during practice time which they can complete at home. Strength training is valuable for all ages, and coaches will provide all swimmers with the basics to get going at home.

LCSC Training Equipment
Each Coho swim group has its specific list of equipment. Most equipment is available through our team store.  Just click the icon on our home page, and the LCSC store will link up.  The specific types of equipment (i.e., Finis products, styles) have been selected by the coaches to best improve technique. In addition to the listed equipment, all swimmers should have two pairs of comfortable racing goggles (Speedo is a popular/dependable brand, also available on Swimoutlet).
Bronze/Silver: Finis Alignment kickboard, Finis PDF fins
Gold: Finis Alignment kickboard, Finis PDF fins, Finis Freestyle snorkel* (*must be specific style)
SR/Platinum: Finis Alignment kickboard, Finis Edge fins, Finis ISO Paddles, Finis Stability Snorkel, Swim parachute, and mesh bags for kicking.  Swim parachutes differ in their price, size, and quality; mesh bags (12” x 18”, or larger) may be found at the Champion Sports Store:
Team swimsuits may be ordered through the JOLYN store on our homepage.  If you have questions about suit sizes, please go to a local swim shop and try suits on; Jolyn suits for girls run a bit small compared to other racing suits. Finis suits for boys run true to size.

Coho Goal Sheets
Winter 2021-2022 Goals Sheets are available at practice and on our website (under the “Resources” tab).  Each swimmer in every group is expected to complete a seasonal goal sheet in their own handwriting.   Coaches also recommend that each swimmer keeps another copy of their completed goal sheet at home for regular reference.  This is an important tool in long-term development, and we look forward to helping each and every Coho reach their seasonal goals!
