Coaches' Corner

In the New Year, Coaches will be meeting with swimmers and parents in individual groups to explain expectations, development plans, and coaching methods/philosophies.

In addition, we will be holding a January group attendance competition  ! The group with the highest practice attendance, by participation percentage, will win a pizza party - held in the Curtis Pool classroom after a practice session.

If your athlete must miss due to sickness or COVID-19 quarantining/isolation, reach out to your group’s coach. Your athlete will be taken out of the equation for the period covered. For more information on COVID-19, please visit the  WA State Department of Health’s COVID-19 page  , or go directly to their  Isolation and Quarantine information page  .

We also understand some athletes may be participating in other activities that conflict with the swim schedule. We are in complete support of athletes participating in multiple activities! We do expect these conflicts to be communicated to your athlete’s group coach, via email.

Participation score breakdown:

  • Monday-Friday practice attendance: 1 point
  • Communicated scheduling conflict: ½ point
  • Missed practice without explanation or communication: 0 points
  • Saturday practice attendance: bonus ½ point!

We cannot successfully put on our upcoming Icebreaker Invitational without the help of our families! Please review the job sign up below and consider being on deck and bringing hospitality items! Some of the key highlights of these hospitality donations include items for a taco bar for our officials and coaches and a hot breakfast bar on Sunday for these amazing individuals who help make our meet possible! Please sign up today!!
