Mantas Swim Club Weekly Update

Good morning, Mantas Families!

Mantas swimmers had a great meet this past weekend at the Neptune IMR/IMXtreme Challenge!  This meet was perfect for our swimmers to show off their skills in all four competitive strokes, and be even better at being teammates while cheering, lap counting, and overall, just having a good time being together on the pool deck.  Some of my favorite moments came when our swimmers had just finished racing and were still in the pool.  It didn’t matter how they swam, by the way they swam really fast, they were looking for the next Mantas teammate to cheer for in the next heat.  Touching on this again, our kids swam GREAT!  Lots of time drops all over the place.  This will be good racing experience that our athletes will carry with them into championship season.

Looking ahead. We have the distance version of the BAC Holiday Classic this Saturday, January 22.  More information will come out later this week.  Then, we have the Cold As Ice Invite in Prior Lake on January 29 – 30.  Today is the final day to register your swimmers for this meet.  You can register on the meet page  RIGHT HERE.

Here is our training schedule for the week.

Novice will swim 6:15 – 7:15pm at Saint Peter Middle School, Monday – Thursday.

Age Group will swim 6:15 – 7:15pm at Saint Peter Middle School, Monday – Thursday.

Senior 1 & Senior 2 will swim 6:30 – 8:30pm at Gustavus, Monday – Thursday, and 5:00pm – 6:30pm on Friday.

Let me know what questions you have.  Have a great week!
