Central Zone Multi-Cultural Meet Information

Registration is now open for the 2022 Central Zone Multi-Cultural Meet being held in Evansville, Indiana! Illinois Swimming is seeking swimmers who are ready to represent Team Illinois and ignite the water. We request that if you are attending that you do three things:

Who is eligible? Any USA Swimming registered athlete in Illinois who qualifies for events with a “B” time standard, including athletes with disabilities!

When is this event happening? The Central Zone Multi-Cultural Meet will take place June 11-12, 2022. For a full list of events over the three days, please click here .

When is the Camp with Indiana Taking Place?

The 2022 Central Zone Multicultural Camp will be held from 2:00-3:30 p.m. on Friday, June 10 with a Team Illinois warm up to follow. It will be an experience like no other. Featuring Dr. Gary Sailes, a renowned sports psychologist, our goal is to educate our athletes on Diversity & Inclusion in sport. Through the camp, swimmers will take away new skills and ways to think about their role on teams, in sports, and as people. All 18 and Under Team Illinois athletes attending the Central Zone Multicultural Meet may participate in the camp. Participation in camp is not required to participate in the meet.

When you register for the meet, you are automatically registering for the camp. If you cannot attend the camp, please email Team Illinois’ Team Manager for the Multicultural Meet, Ben Pearthree at [email protected].

How Can I register? Click here to register for this meet. Registration for the meet will close May 30th at 5 PM. Late registration will not be accepted.

Where is it taking place? Deaconess Aquatic Center, 24 Don Mattingly Way Evansville, IN 47710 .

What am I responsible for? Families are financially responsible for their trip to Evansville. Swimmers will not travel as Team Illinois, they will only compete as Team Illinois. Swimmers are also responsible for their entry fees. Athletes' cost of entry to the camp and banquet will be absorbed by Illinois Swimming and will be free to athletes.
