EMAC Family

What an amazing showing.   Before I get to the swimmer accolades, I will start with some parent accolades.

EMAC and PSC parents, your collective efforts to host a Middle Atlantic Championship meet empowered us to put our best foot forward stating our case to be a trusted MA Championship Meet host.   Meet management, planning, officiating, announcing, song selection, awards, hospitality, snack bar…all superior efforts.

The measurement of potential in both an athlete and an organization must start with willingness.   Athletes and organizations alike must be willing to take on challenges in order to grow.  As you will see below, our swimmers took on major challenges by doing tough events and being in an environment designed for growth.  This past weekend, our parents made a statement that not only are we willing to drive 90 miles and host a championship meet in support of our swimmers, our teams, and MA Swimming, but we are also going to do it while having a great time.

One meet management personnel approached me and said, “Your families are so happy and engaging!”

I’m floored right now by what we were able to do this weekend.  The smiles, the moments, and the camaraderie formed an indelible mark on me.   Your coaching staff has never been more motivated to tackle the next challenge as we strive for higher levels of achievement.

On to the swimmer accolades.  Note that if I missed a swimmer in my reporting, it was not intentional.  Kindly alert me and I will fix it.

Congratulations to Andersen Borst and Graham Lovett for taking home the High Point award for their respective age groups!!!

At EMAC, a swimmer earns a triple crown when they:

  • Go three fastest times in prelims
  • Make finals in all three events
  • Go faster in all three in finals

This is an incredibly difficult feat that begins with the swimmer embracing the fact that they cannot achieve it if they scratch an event in order to set themselves up for success in one event.

EMAC had 6 swimmers earn their triple crown at Silver Champs.  Click on their names to view a more detailed report.

Our champs season will culminate this weekend when Coach Matt, Elise Pukszyn, and Molly Stubblebine represent EMAC and Middle Atlantic Swimming at the MA All-Star Meet!  Good luck, Coach and Swimmers!!!
