April 14, 2022
Hello and welcome to the start of the 2022 Spring Session at Radnor Aquatic Club! Whether you are a returning family or new to our community, we are thrilled that you have chosen RAC as your swimming home. We are fortunate to work with your children everyday, and we take pride in the development of our swimmers, from the youngest Piranha to our Graduating Seniors. Below is some general information about our Spring Session. You will also receive group-specific communication from our lead group coaches later this week. Please be on the lookout for these follow up communications from your swimmer's respective group coach.
Spring Session is designed to be a time for stroke development and technique refinement. In Development, White, and Red, there will be a heavy emphasis on stroke technique, starts, turns, and team-building. In our Bronze and Blue groups, Spring is an opportunity for swimmers to develop and make adjustments to their technique as part of the training session. Technique refinement and race strategy will be incorporated into the training plan for these groups.
All swimmers should arrive to practice wearing their suit and bring a cap, goggles, and water bottle if desired. Blue & Bronze groups have a training bag requirement. Please ensure your swimmers bring their equipment bag to practice every day. Red, White, and Development swimmers are also encouraged to have their own pair of fins.
Meets (Varsity only)
Swimmers in our Varsity Groups (White, Red, Bronze, Blue) will have opportunities to compete in USA swim meets throughout the session. Our lead group coaches will communicate more specifics about meet expectations in their communications later this week. You can view the available meets for the spring session here.
You can view our monthly calendars on the website. This spring we will be using a combination of Haverford, Philadelphia Country Club, and VFMA. Please refer to these schedules frequently in the event that they change. You may also view maps/directions to each pool here.
