Spartan Swim Club

Spartan Swim Club, Box 1001, RPO Vedder Crossing, Chilliwack, B.C., V2R 3N7

 

 

April 21st-24th the Spartan swimmers attended the Western Canadian Championships. Five Hundred of Western Canada’s top athletes traveled to Edmonton to compete against one another. Spartan swimmers came away with five individual medals and several finals throughout the weekend. 

 

Leading the way Was Thomas Caruso competing in the 16 and under boys category. Thomas won Bronze in the 200m IM and the 100m and 200m Backstroke, he also placed fifth in the 50m Backstroke. Also in this age group was Niall Johnson who won Silver in the 800m Free, followed by sixth in the 50m Free, seventh in the 100m Free, eighth in the 200m Free and ninth in the 400m Free

 

In the girls 15 and under Bronwen Wheeler took home a Bronze medal in the 200m Butterfly, she also placed sixth in the 400IM, ninth in the 800m Free and tenth in the 400m Free. 

 

16 and over Girls had Emily De Jager finishing ninth in the 800m Free and tenth in the 400m Free.
