AquaKids and Alisha Wiggins (Certified Red Course Lifeguard Instructor) offer a Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course at the Westminster Christian School High School Pool. Upon successful completion, the student will receive Red Cross certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer (all valid for two years). Students MUST attend the entire course (unless prior arrangements are made with the instructor) and pass the required practical and written examinations to receive the certifications. The cost for this course is $250.00 (payable to AquaKids), which includes all course materials, supplies, and fees. This blended learning course. It features an online portion followed by an in-person portion where the students will learn the practical skills and take the final test! Please complete the attached registration form and return it with payment to Coach Lou at the WCS Pool ASAP!

Minimum Prerequisites: 15 years old, 300-yard swim with at least 100-yard breaststroke and 100-yard freestyle. Swim to the end of the pool, retrieve a 10-pound brick (weight) from 9 feet underwater, swim back to the shallow end, and exit the water within 1 minute and 40 seconds.

 2022 Course Dates & Times:

Online Course: The link to the online course will be emailed to the student after the registration has been received and submitted to the Red Cross office.

In-Person Course: Will be scheduled on the last weekend of May and the first weekend of June once we can confirm the dates and times with all the students.
