BOZ Swim Center Closed for Repairs

The Bozeman Swim Center was closed May 19 by the City of Bozeman. An inspection found some structural problems with the roof and west wall. No time table has been set yet for the swim center to reopen.

The 2022 Montana Swimming Long Course Championship meet will be moved to Missoula.

From the City of Bozeman website:

A final report prepared by Morrison Maierle ( pdf) and delivered to the City on 5/20/2022 outlines the findings of a structural assessment and the existing conditions that led to the current closure of the Swim Center. This information will help provide transparency to the public and help guide strategies the City can take for further investigation and repair.  The Swim Center is closed to the public until further notice to assess needed repairs. As the city begins work on improvements to the Swim Center, building inspections and structural analysis found issues with the integrity of the structure. The City is taking precautions by closing the building and gathering more information on the structural issues.
