Equipment & inclement weather

  Hello Sea Dragon families,

We’re excited to kick off our 2022 season. One of the great things about the sport of swimming is that it requires minimal equipment. Each swimmer should have a well fitted swimsuit and a good pair of goggles. A swim cap is also recommended but not required. Many swimmers prefer the silicone caps to latex, as they last longer and don’t pull hair. Feel free to ask veteran families about their equipment preferences.  We’re sorry to say we’re still waiting on team suits. Hoping they will arrive at B&B Aquatics any day now. We will let you know as soon as we do.

Now with that being said, we are set to begin practice tomorrow (Monday 6/6) morning at 7am for everyone except our Blue dragons who are our youngest beginner swimmers. However, the weather is not looking great for practice. We will practice in light rain, but cannot swim in heavy rain or lightning/thunder. If we have to cancel, we will send an email and do a Facebook post by 6:30am. Also any morning that the weather is iffy, we ask parents to stay nearby if possible since there is no indoor area for us to take shelter.

When we have our first practice, we ask that all returning swimmer report to the lane where they swam last summer. We will make adjustments throughout these first few days and weeks. We know the first few days of practice can be chaotic, so we appreciate your patience and your trust in us. Reach out if you have questions or need clarification.

More to come about meet sign ups soon. Hope to get the season started tomorrow morning and the only ones wet are the swimmers in the pool!
