Heather has been a part of the NJ Swimming community for nearly 30 years.  She began her competitive swimming career with the Ridgewood YMCA where she went on to represent the team at YMCA Nationals for 5 years.  She then earned a scholarship at the University of Connecticut where she swam on the varsity team for 4 years.

She began coaching summer recreation swim team with the Demarest Swim Club in high school, and has been coaching swim teams consistently ever since!  Her most recent coaching position was the Head Coach/Area Director of the Life Time Fitness swim team.  In her time there, she served as the head coach for the Berkeley Heights division; oversaw the coaches and development of all clubs within the NJ/PA region and created the swim coach education curriculum that Life Time uses nationally.

She has served as both coach and manager for the NJSwim Zone teams; and also represented NJSwim at the 2019 USASwimming Leadership Summit.  Away from the pool deck, Heather works as a first grade teacher at Red Bank Elementary School.  She is also currently part of the ASCA Swimming Fellowship Class and a member of the USA Swimming Club Development Committee.

We look forward to seeing Heather on deck this fall.
