Arden Volunteer Coordinators and Meet Reminders

DQ slips placed in family folders-

       If your swimmer was disqualified (DQ’d) from a race, we should have placed a copy of the DQ slip in their folder.  We are missing some slips as there were several slips that were too light to decipher.  If you would like to learn more about DQ’s, please refer to the following links:


Arden Meet Volunteer Coordinator contact info

       Our regular dynamic duo Erin Seymour and Jennie Dressler are on vacation this week so stepping in as volunteer coordinators for our meet against Arden is the amazing team of Melissa Keyes and Jill Voss. They have been working with Erin and Jennie so don’t worry, you are in great hands. 

     As always, please contact them if you are on the way but running late so they can help prevent your swimmer from being scratched from the meet:

Timer Positions Added-

       Additional timer shifts have been added to the Arden meet.  As of the time this email was written, there are still 5 open spots.  As a reminder, families are required to volunteer at every swim meet you swimmer is at so if you have not signed up, you please do so. 

     If you have already signed up for a shift, we thank you. Please do not sign up for an additional shift so those who have not signed up yet can have a chance to do so. If we end up with open slots and you are available to pick up an additional shift, please let Jill or Melissa know on Saturday morning.


Volunteer Hour Requirement-

    Families are required to complete 20 hours of volunteer service during the season.  With only 3 dual meets and Champs left, are you going to make it?  Here’s is how to check how many hours you have completed so far…

  • Log into the website
  • Click on “My Account” on left
  • Click on “My Invoice/Payment” on left 
  • Click “Service Hours” tab

     After checking your hours, if you have any questions or concerns, please email our head volunteer coordinator at [email protected]. Keep in mind she is on vacation, so please be patient.


Equipment Transportation needed-

     We still need volunteer to take the Marlins trailer to the meet and another volunteer to take the trailer back to its storage yard after the meet.  If you have a vehicle capable of towing the trailer and would be willing to get it to the meet, back from the meet, or both, please sign up using the job listing or reply to this email with the best time and way to contact you. 


Age Group Tents-

      Age group tents allow swimmers for that age group to get information about their races as well as meet up with the other swimmers that are swimming in the same events so they can go to the ready bench together.  If families are volunteering or otherwise unable to help get the swimmer to their races, we recommend that the parent or guardian instructs the swimmer to stay in the age group tent.  Age group parents do not have the ability to track down swimmers who do not report to the age group tent.
