Week Five: Volunteer Shout-outs, Pasta Night, and Social Events

Hello Sharks!

It's hot out there! Just like that, we’re almost at the halfway mark for the 2022 season -- can you believe it? Here's what you need to know this week.

1) We defeated the Chantilly Highlands Dolphins to improve to 2-0
2) Volunteer Kudos for Pictures and Pancakes, 9-10 Kickball Social

3) Wednesday, June 29 “B” Meet - Remember to declare!
4) Pasta and Pep Rally, Thursday, June 30

Saturday was another great team effort for the Sharks, as they got an early jump on the Dolphins and held on for a convincing 235 -211 victory.

We Can't Do It Without Volunteers

A big thank you to ALL of our Sharks volunteers. We can’t name everyone here but big thanks to Adina Adler and Dina Gowayed for making picture day happen. If you ordered digital photos, check your email for a message from Adina with them—we received ours this week. We will be passing out print orders during practices this week. Many thanks to the Ali family for getting the print photos organized. Thanks also to Tassika and Greg Fulmer, Adam and Katie Rosenbaum, Yali Kong, Afzaa Nathani, and Heather Palazzo for making LOTS of pancakes and bacon at the well-attended pancake breakfast last week. Finally, a huge shout-out to Megan and Clark Soyster-Heinz for maintaining the personal best chart.

Finally, thank you to Carley Maltese and Erin Sartori for organizing this week's kickball event for our 9-10 year-olds. Be sure to visit the Chase Club Sharks Facebook page to view photos from that event and hear about upcoming events. Speaking of Facebook, did you know we also have an Instagram account? Be sure to follow @Chase_Club_Sharks for photos and stories from almost all our events. Katie Rosenbaum is awesome at capturing our swim meets and events - I admit, when she posts, I watch them over and over.

If you have photos you'd like for us to consider posting for social OR for our slide show, please send to me (Grace Byers, [email protected]) or Katie R. Natalie Zhou is our wonderful slide show creator extraordinaire, so you can also upload to our Google Drive
