Weekly Update - Week 6 (Important Info recap)

Hi Swim Team Families!
It’s hard to believe it, but we are entering the end of our
season. We have a busy couple of weeks coming up. Here
is a schedule reminder (in addition to normal practice
schedule):
Sunday, June 26th - midnight deadline for Champs t-shirts and
spirit ad (see info at the end of this email, as well as our Week 5
email)
Monday, June 27th - last day to declare attending/declining for
Thursday’s meet (6/30)
Tuesday, June 28th - away meet at Germantown (75 N. Walnut St,
Germantown OH 45327) - driving directions link on website under
“pool locations." Warmups begin in the water at
5:30pm
Thursday, June 30th - home meet against Idle Hour. Warmups
begin in the water at 5:00pm
Friday, July 1st - LAST DAY to declare attending/declining for
Champs - must have participated in 2 regular season meets to attend
championship
Friday, July 1st - last day to declare attending/declining for
Tuesday’s meet (7/5)
Monday, July 4th - Beavercreek’s 4th of July parade, meet at
6pm
Monday, July 4th - last day to declare attending/declining for
Thursday’s meet (7/7)
Tuesday, July 5th- away meet at Vandalia (1061 Taylorsville Dr,
Vandalia OH 45377) - driving directions link on website under
“pool locations.” Warmups begin in water at
5:30pm
Thursday, July 7th - home meet against Preble County (rescheduled
from 6/21- please redeclare). Warmups begin in water at
5:00pm
Friday, July 8th - team pasta dinner and evening practice - NO
MORNING PRACTICE THIS DAY
Saturday, July 9th - CHAMPS! More info to come, plan to be
there all day have have FUN!
Sunday, July 10th - End of season award ceremony (afternoon, final
time coming soon)
-We do have volunteer spots we are still needing to be filled for
this week’s meets. We need several positions filled for
Tuesday’s away meet, and a Grillmaster position needed for
the home meet on Thursday. In the past, there was a volunteer
requirement of a particular number of home/away meets for the
season. This did not always work, and since our volunteer
coordinator has taken on the task, it has been an “all hands
on deck” approach. We certainly understand that there
are circumstances that may prevent volunteering… But
our team this year is the biggest it has been in recent years, and
it can be disheartening to have such difficulty filling needed
positions. We appreciate and value our volunteers, and do
tend to see the same names over and over (thank you!!!!). If
you have not volunteered before, do not be intimidated by the
positions. They are easily learned as you go, and there is a
description of each next to the signup. The available jobs
for this week can be found on our “events” tab on the
website:

-We do have a limited supply of extra red CHST spiritwear t-shirts
available for sale! The shirts are $20/shirt, and will be
available at the MW evening practices and Thursday’s home
meet this week. Cash or check accepted.
-The Cardinal Hill Swim Team will participate in the Beavercreek
4th of July parade! We will receive the specific line up 3
days prior. The parade is at 6, and we will communicate
specific line up times as we receive them. Swimmers walk
along Dayton-Xenia Road, starting at Meadow Bridge and ending at
the high school. Swimmers wear their team shirts and pass out
drinking water to parade attendees.
Reminder: Tonight is the last night for Champs shirts available for
presale on this link:
The preorder will close at midnight on Sunday, June 26th. The
shirts are $8 plus tax, and will be bagged and waiting for pickup
the morning of championships on July 9th. You can also send
