CHAMPS info and last practice/weekend!
July 7, 2022 |
It’s hard to believe it, but our season is almost over!
The last home meet tonight, last practice and pasta dinner
tomorrow night, Champs on Saturday and awards on Sunday!
Thank you to all of you for making it a great season!
Please keep in mind - the pasta dinner/practice and awards
are for ALL of our swimmers, not just those swimming at
Champs.
Reminder:
Tomorrow’s practice (Friday July 8th) is AN EVENING
practice:
6-6:30, 8 and under practice
6:30-7, 8 and under eat
6:30-7 - 9 and older practice
7-7:30, 9 and older eat
7:30-8 cleanup, go home and rest!
If you are attending Champs and would like to bring a pop up tent
for us to set up Friday night, there is a group of parents heading
out to West Carrollton at 7pm (from the pasta dinner) to set
up the tents. Bring your tent with you to the pasta
dinner, and please make sure that your tent is clearly labelled
with your name so you can find it Saturday morning. It is
your responsibility to take it down and take it with you when you
leave Champs on Saturday. Please see the attached document to
view the Cardinal Hill section at Champs (returning swimmers -
it’s the same as usual).
If you are able to help set up tents, please let myself or Mark
Nuttbrock know! THANK YOU to everyone who is helping with
this - what a great way to start the early morning!
Champs - What to Expect
Saturday morning, our swimmers should arrive at the Robert Wilson
Park Pool in West Carrollton (1226 S Elm St, West Carrollton OH
45449) by 7AM in order to park, find your tent, and get swimmers
ready for warmups.
7am - arrival time
7:15am - Volunteer Coordinator meeting
7:25-7:45am - CHST warm up in water
7:45am - Officials meeting
8:15am - Meet starts!
Heat sheets are available to purchase at the meet and are not sent
out ahead of time. If you put in for a spirit ad and have not
yet paid, please pay myself or another board member asap.
Tasha Nuttbrock will hold a volunteer meeting for Champs
volunteers at 7:30am. Please look for her at the
office/entrance.
What to bring
Water! Sunscreen! Snacks, cash, several towels, sweat pants/hoodie
in case your swimmer gets chilly, a deck of cards or other activity
to keep your swimmer entertained during the day. Pack a
cooler or a grill, bring your lawn chairs, and come ready for a
long but fun day!
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Good luck
tonight Cardinal Hill, against Preble County!
Thanks,
Danielle DeBorde
