Hi Sharks Families,
With the uptick in COVID cases in our area, we wanted to remind everyone of the CDC guidelines regarding isolation and quarantining for COVID positive people and their family members.
If you have tested positive for COVID: Everyone who has presumed or confirmed COVID-19 should stay home and isolate from other people for at least 5 full days (day 0 is the first day of symptoms or the date of the day of the positive viral test for asymptomatic persons). They should wear a mask when around others at home and in public for an additional 5 days. People who are confirmed to have COVID-19 or are showing symptoms of COVID-19 need to isolate regardless of their vaccination status.
If someone you reside with tested positive for COVID and you are not up-to-date on COVID vaccinations: If you were exposed to COVID and are not up-to-date on COVID vaccinations you should stay home and quarantine for at least 5 full days after your last exposure to a COVID positive person and monitor yourself for symptoms. For the five days following your quarantine period, you should wear a well-fitting mask any time you are around others inside your home or in public.
If someone you reside with tested positive for COVID and you are up-to-date on COVID vaccinations: If you reside with someone who has presumed or confirmed COVID and you are up-to-date on COVID vaccinations you do not need to quarantine unless you develop symptoms. For 10 full days from the date of your last exposure you should wear a well-fitting mask any time you are around others inside your home or in public.
We encourage everyone to abide by these guidelines at Divisionals and at our banquet tomorrow evening. We are looking forward to celebrating an amazing season with all of our Sharks families tomorrow night!
