This past weekend a quartet of Sharks represented UPAC at the Pacific Northwest Swimming Senior Long Course Champs, held at the King County Aquatic Center. The athletes did a wonderful job of coming together as a group, crushing the relays, and finished the meet as the 12 placed girls team, overall. That is a huge accomplishment regardless, but with just 4 swimmers, it is simply amazing!
Congratulations to Brogan Braaten (17), Trinity Link (16), Bridget Oates (16), Clara Patterson (15), and Coach Trever (really old) on a great 3 days of competition!
Brogan - Finaled in the 400 IM, going from the 24th seed, to the 21st after prelims, and 19th in finals!
Trinity - Finaled in the 50 Free, swimming to a new personal best of 28.25, a AAA motivational time!
Bridget - Used our last chance meet (the OCA July Jubilee) to qualify in the 100 Back, and at Champs she dropped even more time from her previous best to finish with a 1:12.95 - her first time under 1:13!
Clara - The youngest Shark participant did a superb job of contributing to UPAC’s relay success, and crushed her individual 50 Free, dipping under 29 seconds for a new best time of 28.91!
