Hurricanes Compete in Craig

This past weekend the Rangely Hurricanes competed in the Craig ABC Open meet.  During the three day event the swimmers had some great times between delays for lightning and in the cold and rain on Sunday.  Training in the great indoor facility in Rangely, the Hurricanes were challenged by the elements that come with an outdoor pool yet came through with some amazing times.

The Hurricanes had 22 swimmers at this meet where over 160 athletes competed representing 8 teams from the Western Slope.  The swimmers walked away with 38 1stplace finishes, 24 2ndplace finishes, 22 3rdplace finishes, and a number of other very competitive finishes.  High point trophies were won by Travis Coates, Caleb Noel, William Scoggins, and Patrick Scoggins.
