Bremerton Y Adds to Nationals Roster

Aspen Monkhouse qualified for the YMCA Nationals Swimming Championships at the Daffodil Classic, Saturday, which was held at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma.  She won the 50 Freestyle with a time of 24.79, lowering her own team record for the third consecutive meet.   Her time also makes Monkhouse the second swimmer to qualify for Y Nationals in an individual event since the team reformed less than three years ago.

Aspen will join teammate, Sam Lingenbrink, who previously in the backstroke events, at the YMCA Nationals in Greensboro, North Carolina next month, April 1-4. There are still two weeks and a couple more opportunities for swimmers to qualify for Y Nationals.
