'A' Champs

The Manta Rays Swim Team competed at the Inland Empire Short Course Championships in Moscow Idaho this weekend.

Zachary Washburn won the boys 10 & under high point award by winning 7 individual races. The 50 & 200 free, the 50 & 100 Fly, the 50 back, and the 100 & 200 individual medley.

Zack Johnston placed 2nd in the boys 15 and over 400 IM, 3rd in the 200 IM, 5th in the 50 free, 3rd in the 100 back, 4th in the 1650 free and 3rd in the 200 back. 

Anna Fair placed 7th in the girls 13 & 14 200 fly and also the 100 fly.

Noah Heaps placed 5th in the boys 13 & 14 200 fl.

Josiah Johnston placed 6th in the boys 11 & 12 100 fly.

Jordan Pack placed 8th in the boys 11 & 12 50 breast.

Halle Johnston placed 5th in the girls 13 & 14 1650 free.

Janice Pryor placed 8th in the girls 15 & over 1650 free.

The relay team of Zachary Washburn, Josiah Johnston, Jordan Pack and Dylan Bond placed 2nd in the boys 12 & under 200 free relay and 5th in the 200 medley relay.

The team of Anna Fair, Halle Johnston, ShyAnne Speed and Cora Dana placed 6th in the girls 14 and under 400 free relay.

Dylan Bond, Cora Dana, Jessica Williams, and Megan Washburn also were in the meet and had several personal best times. 

Zachary Washburn qualified for the Northwest Region Sectional Meet to be held in Federal Way later in March and Zack Johnston qualified for the Sr. Sectional Meet also in Federal Way next week.
