Times tumble at Wexford last chance

Wexford last chance saloon....the final frontier....well before the qualification deadline for Leinster 1 that is! A group of  22 swimmers bussed down to Wexford with a task in hand. Many were looking for Leinster division 1 times, with some seeking qualification to Irish age groups division 1 and 2. Trojan DELIVERED!

Cara Stapleton lowered her division 1 time in the 100brs by over 2 seconds in as many weeks, while also recording. Sub 1:10 100 free.

jamie Purcell, Naoise Cautley, Cara Heylin, Ethan Ballard, Cara Pantony and co qualified for the division 2 Irish age groups. This team of development squad swimmers have been going from strength to strength all season to deliver impressive performances over the 200s.

Sasha Kelly qualified for her second IAG event-in the 200back. She will now be targeting the 100 back, 200IM and 200 free in her latest bid to fill out the Irish age groups roster.

Jake Smuth Stanbridge qualified for Leinster div 1 along with Emer Desmond. Sister Laura Desmond, not to be outdone took her second division 2 IAG time in the 100Brs.

Newcomer Adam O Reilly took home a Leinster 1 time on top of an impressive 100fly.

Niamh Begley stormed to a 2.5 second PB in the 200back. Teammate Elena brophy took another div 2 IAG time back to dublin with a series of impressive performances. 

Anna eustace Cookman, just back from injury also recorded PBs in her events.

Grainne o Reilly continued to develop race skills and technique.

Sam Owen recorded a 2.5 second drop on his 200IM, edging him closer to the elusive division 1 QT.

All in all a decent days work for our swimmers as they look forward to the new ross gala on Sunday and Leinster division 1 at the end of the month.
