Puma had a small but mighty group attend the Central California Junior Olympics in Clovis, July 17-20.
Our four 7-8 year olds scored points in all of their events. Kylie Bell was the high point 7 year old girl. Colton TenEyck was 2nd high point for 8 year old boys, taking 1st in the 100 free. 8 year olds Joshua Bell and Ross Poletti were rock stars and also took home some medal hardware.
11-12 Girls were Gabriella Clayton, who had 4 lifetime best swims, and Peyton TenEyck, placing 16th in the 50m breaststroke final.
13-14 girls, Sophia Terry, Kendra Twist, Gabby Wood and Katie Adams placed top 10 in each of their 3 relays. Sophia had finals/consoles swims in the 200 back(4th), 100 back(11th) and 50 free(13th). Gabby Wood swam consolation finals in the 200 breaststroke. Katie Adams had 2 second swims in the 100 breast(13th) and 200 breast(13th).
The two 15-18 Puma ladies were Mikayla Pock(15) and Grace Oeser(17). Mikayla received a 6th place medal for the 50 free. Grace placed for medals in her 3 events: 200 IM(2nd), 100 fly(8th), 100 back(7th).
