EBA had some great swims at the 66th Annual Husky Invitational up in Federal Way, Washington over the weekend of December 5, 6 &7. We were a large group of 22 swimmers at this travel meet and were able to swim numerous relays. Five of these swimmers were from the EBAT site and they had some really good swims.
Brian Corbett had some nice improvements in almost every event he swam. He dropped over a second in his 100 brst, about 2 seconds in his 200 IM, and 3 seconds in his 200 brst! Great Job Brian!
Laura Macchiavello also made some big drops. She dropped enough time to go under 26 seconds in the 50 free, and made some big improvements in her 200 free dropping at least 4 seconds to go a 2:01 leading off the 800 free relay. Congrats to Laura!
Erik Clemensen swam season best times in all his events and had a lifetime best in the 100fly. He had some good swims and was right on his shave and taper times from last May. Great effort on all your swims, Erik!
Paige Heacox was probably a bit disappointed that she didn’t go a 24 in her 50 free, but I know she’ll get there this season at some point. Paige always gives 110% when she swims and that was evident at the Husky Meet over the weekend. Paige was able to swim season best in all her events and was able to achieve times just off her shave and taper swims from May. Great Job, Paige!
Donny Watts was the EBAT swimmer of the meet! He had individual races in finals and he achieved best times in almost every event he swam. He dropped down to a 58 in the 100 breast and a 2:00 in the 200IM. His 50 freestyle was a fast 21 high in both prelims and finals. Great job, Donny! Unfortunately, Donny hurt his foot the night before his last day, so he had to scratch 100 free and 200 breast. Tough luck, Donny. Great efforts though on the swims you were able to do!!
Great Job EBAT swimmers!
