Two Kingwood High School Class of 2012 graduates earned conference champion titles at the 2015 University Athletic Association (UAA) Swimming & Diving Championships held Feb. 11-14 at Emory University in Atlanta.

Jared Scheuer, a junior at Emory, won the men’s 200 yard backstroke with a time of 1:49.76. Reed Dalton, a junior at Washington University in St. Louis, won the men’s 100 yard butterfly, clocking a UAA record time of 48.12.

The Emory men finished first overall at the UAA championships and the Washington University men placed fourth. Scheuer and Dalton grew up swimming together in Kingwood on the Foster Mill/Kings Point Waves, Blue Tide Aquatics and the KHS Swimming & Diving team.

They will meet again as competitors at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships to be held March 18 to 21 at the Conroe ISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas.
