The NJ Swimming 12&Under Silver/Bronze Championships took place over the weekend at the Swim Center in Secaucus. Our 27 attending swimmers had a great weekend, earning best times, top places, and more.
With 110 splashes over the weekend, 46 were Career Best Times! Some of these times were significant drops, including Amber Christie’s 15 second drop in her 100 Breast, Jack Cumming’s 12 second drop in his 50 Breast, Jordan Mucha’s 10 second drop in the 100 Free, Jacob Knehr’s 10 second drop in the 100 IM, Jacob Pacholarz’ 20 second drop in the 200 IM just to name a few.
Times weren’t the only notable achievements. Our Swordfish garnered 23 Top 6 Places. Kai Batchelor took First Places in his 100 IM and 50 Free, and seconds in his 25 and 50 Breast; Henry Bysshe earned a 2nd in his 500 Free, and fourths in his 200 Back and 200 Free; Sydney Harding grabbed a 4th in the 100 IM, and a 5th in the 200 Free; Harry Malile swam a 6th place finish in his 50 Back; Nadia McAuley earned a 3rd in her 100 IM, and 6th in the 25 Fly; Madison Miller grabbed a 4th in the 50 Back; Jacob Pacholarz took a 3rd in the 200 IM; Lauren Pojedinec earned a 6 Place in the 200 IM; Kristin Silipena swam a Second Place in her 25 Fly, and two Thirds in her 25 Back and 25 Breast, and a fourth in the 25 Free; Ian Traverse swam in a 5th Place in his 100 Fly, and a third in his 200 Free; and Aiden Zachowski swam fourths in his 25 Back and 25 Breast, a second in his 25 Fly, and a 5th in the 25 Free.
A special congratulations to Kai Batchelor for setting a new team record in the 50 Free!
