Spring/Summer Programs Are Here!

The North Jersey Barracudas offer three different opportunities to help swimmers reach their goals in the pool this spring/summer.

For the swimmer that is not quite ready for the commitment and intensity of club team training, we offer a Pre-Team program which teaches proper mechanics for all four competitive strokes, starts, and turns. Whether the goal is to get ready for summer rec swimming, to prepare for the club team experience, or to just fine tune one’s skills, swimmers will meet twice a week to work with one of our experienced coaches. No competitions. We also offer swimming lessons for our younger newbies.

For those swimmers who are ready for more extensive training, or wish to continue their training and growth from the Short Course season (Fall/Winter), we offer a competitive Long Course program. Swimmers who participated in our previous season’s Short Course team are invited to participate and continue their training; other swimmers may tryout. The season runs from the end of April through the end of July, and practices are from three to five days a week (depending on practice group). Swimmers become USA Swimming registered, and we participate in long course competitions around the state.
