Swimmers Go Long at Summer Solstice

Our swimmers joined seventeen other teams for the Summer Solstice meet at Rutgers University this past weekend. This first long course meet for us bore NJ Gold and Silver times, Top-8 finishes, and a bunch Career Best Times! A great weekend was had by all.

Jake Riva had a great weekend, earning 4 first place finishes (100 & 200 Back, 50 & 200 Free) for the Barracudas, and a Sectionals cut in the 50 Free. Other Top-8 places were swum by Antonio Justiniano (6th in the 50 Fly); Jordan Maruska (7th in the 100 and 200 Free, 5th in the 200 Breast); Jake Riva (2nd in the 100 Free, 50 Breast); and Sam Russell (100 & 200 Breast, 50 Fly).

Career Best (Long Course) Times were swum by Jillian Berg (100 Fly, 100 & 200 Free, 200 IM); Peyton Berg (100 & 200 Free, 50 Fly, 50 Free); Ethan Cross (100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Free); Antonio Justiniano (50 Fly); Jordan Muruska (100 & 200 Free); Jake Riva (100 Back, 50, 100 & 200 Free); Sam Russell (50 Fly); Sean Sharma (100 Fly); Chris Soutter (200 Free); and Hannah Soutter (100 Back, 200 Free).
