DART Swimmer makes Team USA for 2017 FINA World Junior Championships

Competing at the 66 Phillips U.S. National Championship / World Championship Trials last week, DART at Sacramento's Amalie Fackenthal, 17, made the USA roster for the 2017 FINA World Junior Championships with her 55.61 second 100M freestyle swim that tied her for 3rd place amongst the 17 & under female swimmers.   

The World Junior Championships will be hosted by USA this year, at the Indiana University Natatorium in Indianapolis on August 23-28.   USA will field a team of 24 women and 19 men total at the World Junior Championships.   Nearly 800 athletes from around 176 countries are expected to compete in this six-day meet.
