BBST had another great meet in Federal Way this past weekend at the Sr. PNS Championships. BBST swam to an overall 7th Place Team finish (ranking 5th in the women’s division and 10th in the men’s division respectively). BBST’s National Group (Futures and Jr. World Champs Qualifiers) had a brutal line up swimming up to 17 events in a three day period and holding nearly all performances within 97% of their best times. This meet set up our Futures and World Champs swimmers for a full taper and shave at their respective championship meets these next few weeks.
Our PNS qualifiers stepped up and had some big time drops and contributed heavily to our relays swims. Two new swimmers (Ellary Boyd and Teigen Detta) Qualified for the Futures Championships as relay only swimmers for the Women’s 400 MR and Elite swimmer Rowan King achieved his first Summer Jr. National Qualifying time.
In all, with 19 swimmers and 78 Individual entries, BBST swimmers achieved 58 new swims ranked in BBST’s All Time Top 10 (74% of swims this past weekend made the All Time Top 10 list) and 11 New Team Records were set (14%). Great Job Team!
