Junior Olympics 2017 Long Course

North County Aquatics team traveled to Clovis, California to compete in the 2017 Long Course Junior Olympics this past weekend. Despite having numerous swimmers qualify, only three participated in the event. However, even with this small number of swimmers, NCA came home with 11 medals. Kendall Moffitt (14) came home with Gold in the 1500 Free, Silver  medals in 800 Free, 400 Free, 200 Butterfly, Bronze in the 400 IM, 5th in 200 Back, and 7th in 200 Free. Emma Severson (15) came home with Bronze in the 1500 Free, sixth in 200 Breast, and Fourth in the 800 Free. While Elyse McIntyre (14) came home with 5th in the 200 Breast. Out of 24 teams in attendance, the three girls ended up 13th overall.

Elyse McIntyre broke the NCA record in the 200 Breast that had stood since 2004 by  SAVANNAH TATREAU   with a time of 3:03.47 and Kendall Moffitt broke the NCA record in the  100 Fly and 1500 Free that had stood since 2013.
