ATAC shines at 2017 Futures
ATAC placed 7th out of 80 teams in the season-ending 2017 USA Swimming Southeast Futures Championship swim meet, held in Nashville, TN on Aug 3-6. This is a national long course competition for teams from the southeast quadrant of the United States, and ATAC sent 12 qualifying swimmers to the meet. ATAC's performance this year was the best in its history, with two individual Futures champions and several medalists at this very competitive meet.
Qualifying ATAC swimmers competing at the meet included: Alec Bowie, Kealyn Bowie, Rafi Chambasian, Brandon Chason, Emily Chorpening, Wyatt Foote, Cole Forbes, Saige Kemeny, Olivia Kercheval-Roig, Tristan Sanders, Ryland Sun, and John Yambor-Maul.
ATAC boasted two individual champions in Wyatt Foote (200m breaststroke) and Cole Forbes (1500m freestyle).
In addition, ATAC swimmers placing top 16 and earning points for the team included:

Rafi Chambasian, 200 breast (14th), 400 IM (15th)
Brandon Chason, 1500 free (11th)
Emily Chorpening, 400 free (14th), 1500 free (12th)
Wyatt Foote, 100 breast (12th), 200 IM (6th), 400 IM (9th)
Cole Forbes, 400 free (9th), 800 free (3rd)
Saige Kemeny, 100 breast (6th), 200 breast (2nd)
Ryland Sun, 50 free (14th), 100 fly (6th)
John Yambor-Maul, 200 free (6th), 400 free (2nd), 800 free (4th).
Seven new all-time ATAC records were set at the meet by the following swimmers:
Saige Kemeny, Girls 15-16 100 breast (1:14.49L)
Ryland Sun, Boys 15-16 50 free (24.46L), 100 back (1:00.11L), 50 fly (26.01L), 100 fly (56.68L)
Cole Forbes, Boys 17-18 800 free (8:23.91L), 1500 free (15:53.63L)
