To all of our families, we hope this finds you well and getting back into your daily routine after Hurricane Irma.
The rescheduled Lochte Classic is just around the corner and we have nearly 400 swimmers from around Florida coming to our first home meet of the season. It’s going to be a great weekend and we’re anticipating a lot of great swims.
LOCHTE CLASSIC: September 29 – October 1 at Port Orange YMCA
Meet Deadline Approaching: SIGN UP NOW for the first meet of the season. The deadline for all sign-ups is September 22. This is the first meet of Short Course Season!
To all of our High School swimmers, even if your account is on hold for the high school season you can compete in this meet (it is a great way for you to see where you stand at the beginning of the season). This meet is one of our largest of the year, and we don’t want you to miss it! Prelims/Finals for 14&U events and remember it is a mandatory meet for all DBS Swimmers!
NOTE: Port Orange Family Days starts September 28th and runs through October 1st so parking will be tight throughout the weekend at the YMCA during our meet.

If you have already signed up, THANK YOU!!!! We will have a successful meet with help from all of our families! Please click the button on the website to review your commitments and please update if you need to make changes. Remember ALL families are required to provide a volunteer for each swimmer you have in the pool. First meet, no problem! You can sit this one out and learn the ropes but please sign up to bring an item needed for the meet.
This meet we are asking all families (new and seasoned parents) to bring drinks. Any of the drinks not used at this meet will be used at an upcoming meet.
Families with a last name starting with:
- A through H please bring a case of water
- I through P please bring a 12-pack of diet and regular soda
- O through Z please bring a case of the small Gatorades.

Please take a few minutes to verify your phone numbers in your account. We plan to start sending text communication to families with quick updates like pool closures, practice time updates, etc. We feel this will be the most efficient way to get last minute updates or changes out to families and swimmers. All other pool information will continue to be sent out in the newsletter.
