OSA and Youth Development Lead Coach!

We are very excited to introduce Coach Ali Asadimofrad as the new lead coach for both the OSA and the Youth Development programs! He has a wealth of experience with aquatic sports. We are looking forward to developing some great young talent!

Coach Ali

Ali joined the Otters coaching staff in September 2017.
Before joining the Otters, Ali coached the West Vancouver Masters, Swim for Fitness 2010-2017, and open water swimming at Seawolf Sports 2013-2017.
Ali is a NCCP Swimming Canada Coaching Certified, Hydrotherapist, BCRPA Personal Trainer, Red Cross Instructor, and Lifesaving Society Water front, Water Park, and Pool National Lifeguard. In addition, Ali is a CMAS Italian Professional Scuba Diving Instructor.
Prior to coming to Canada, he coached at the Revolution Swim Club for 7 years, and the Iranian junior water polo and kanopolo team.
Ali also coached the Iranian impaired vision swimming team 2001-2003.
He joined the Iranian Water Polo team 2004-2007, and his team achieved first place at the Police World Championship.  
Ali’s swimming career started at age 15 in Iran.
Coach Ali is super excited to join the Otters' well-respected coaching team. He believes that he can help swimmers of differing abilities to achieve their goals.
