NJB Athlete Reps Meet Olympian Ryan Murphy

“I hope my swimming life continues and I become an Olympian when I grow up,” wrote 8-year-old Ryan Murphy. “I hope I will break records. I want to be the best swimmer in the world. The end."

Olympian Ryan Murphy, now 23, wound up with three Olympic Gold medals and set a World Record (leading off the U.S 400m Medley Relay) at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

He visited NJ Swimming to share some of his experiences at Raritan Valley Community College on September 30th. We were honored to have our two NJ Swimming Student Athlete Representatives from NJB, Sam Russell and Hannah Soutter, serve as his assistants during the visit, showing him around and staying by his side for his presentations, autograph signings, and more.
