Fall Invite Info

Our first home meet is only days away and it is looking like this could be our largest Fall Invite ever.  Over 400 swimmers may be looking for first swims or best times in our Adventure Pool over the weekend.  We will be starting to prep the Y for it's swim meet makeover already on Thursday night.  Please see some important logistical information below to help make this a successful and smooth home meet for all involved.

We would like all SPDY parents to park in UWSP's lot Y across the street from the YMCA.  We will have parking assistants out in the lots to assist you.  If you want to drop your swimmers and gear off at the entrance that is great, please then go park in lot Y.

All volunteers please check in at our check in area near the Teen Center (Concessions) area.  From there if you have any questions please look for anyone one on the Parent Board to help you out.  Stagers, Timers, and Time Slip Runners please report to the Adventure Pool at least 30 minutes prior to the meet starting.  Also, due to the larege number of swimmers please remeber to be flexible with the time schedule, especially in the afternoon sessions.  Keep your contact phone handy in case we need to call and adjust your times, especially those on cleanup duty Sunday.  

Team shirts are in and will be given out at the check in area as well.  You will recieve the size shirt you signed up for, no switching.  If your swimmer is not on the list it is most likely due to your paperwork getting in too late.  It will be great to see all of the SPDY blue moving around our meets starting Saturday!

Morning session parents please keep an eye on the dry erase board in the gym to make sure you get your swimmers to our staging area on time.  Staging for our home meets is located in the hallway just outside of the conference room near the Adventure Pool.  Parents, other than our stagers, are asked to please stay out of this area during the morning session.

Results will be posted in the hallway outside of the gym as soon as we can get them finalized and printed.

For those signed up to bring concessions items you can drop them off at the training pool prior to Saturday if they do not need to be refrigerated or you can bring them on Friday evening or early Saturday morning.  Refrigerated items should be brought in Friday evening or Saturday morning.  Thank you to all who are bringing items!

Remember to bring extra caps, goggles, and towels.  DivePoint Scuba will have a fully stocked swim shop set up our concessions area with very knowledgeable staff to assist you should you need anything at all.  Parents will want to bring chairs to set up in the gym and a blanket or sleeping bag for your swimmers to hang out on in between events.
