BIG congratulations are in order for Polly (Winde) Surhoff. The NBAC alum and former member of our Board of Directors is being inducted into the Maryland State Athletic Hall of Fame.
“Our coaches, swimmers and families congratulate [Polly] on this prestigious honor,” says Head Coach Tom Himes.
The Ellicott City native started setting swimming records as an 8-year-old and never looked back. To this day, she continues to swim regularly, having most recently placed third in the Great Chesapeake Bay swim this past June, at age 52.
Surhoff is a three-time NCAA All-American with the University of North Carolina and was a member of the U.S. National Team. She is the cofounder of Pathfinders for Autism, Maryland's largest autism organization. In addition to being a former NBAC swimmer, she is also a former NBAC parent. Congratulations!
