The Pleasanton Seahawks had 7 swimmers qualify for World Cup 2017. The meet was held at the 'Beijing National Aquatics Center' (better known as the "Water Cube"), in Beijing, China, the home of the 2008 Summer Olympics. Representing the Pleasanton Seahawks at the "FINA/airweave Swimming World Cup 2017" on November 10-11, 2017 were: Calvin David who swam the 50 meterfree, 200 free, 100 fly and placed 26th in the 400 free. Caroline Eckel swam the 50 free, 100 free and placed 25th in her 100 back. Daniella Hawkins swam the 50 free, 100 free, 400 free and came in 11th in the 800 free. Miranda Heckman swam the 100 free, 400 free, 50 free, and placed 10th in the 800 free. Christopher Jhong swam the 200 free, 400 free, 100 Breast and placed 9th in the 400 IM. Tyler Lu swam the 50 free, 100 fly, 200 free and placed 22ond in the 400 free. Claire Suen Swam the 50 free, 100 free, and placed 19th in her 100 back. The Seahawks had some great swims at this World Cup and were able to see and enjoy visiting The Great Wall, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City and even enjoyed a cooking class while in Beijing.
